The Story Behind This Project
Tony Cuts is a well-established barbershop with strong word-of-mouth and a clientele that values consistency and quality. The business was running entirely on walk-ins and returning regulars, sustainable but leaving revenue on the table from people who could not or would not walk in without knowing if there was a wait, or from new customers who wanted to book ahead.
The engagement covered three areas: a new website at tonycuts.ca, PPC campaign management to drive new client acquisition, and ongoing social media content to keep the brand top of mind between appointments.

For a busy barbershop, the operational cost of fielding phone calls, managing walk-in queues, and handling last-minute cancellations adds up. Beyond the operational friction, the shop had no reliable digital channel to attract new customers who were not already regulars or referred by friends. In a city like Toronto, where there are dozens of barbershops within a short distance, being discoverable online is the difference between being considered and being invisible.
Social media was being handled inconsistently, good content when time allowed, nothing for weeks otherwise. There was no paid advertising bringing in new customers, and the shop was relying entirely on organic discovery and repeat business.
Every week without a website, ads, or consistent social media meant new customers were walking into the barbershop next door instead. The competition was already online.
Here's What We Did About It
The website was built to reflect the premium positioning of the shop: clean layout, quality photography, services and pricing clearly presented, with booking integration allowing clients to schedule without a phone call.
For PPC, we launched targeted Google Ads campaigns focused on high-intent local searches like 'barbershop near me', 'best barber Toronto', and neighbourhood-specific terms. Ad copy highlighted the shop's premium service and easy booking, with landing pages optimised for conversion.
Social media management brought consistency: a content calendar planned around the shop's natural content (cuts, client highlights, behind-the-scenes) with 4-5 posts per week on Instagram and Facebook. Engagement management was included: responding to comments, managing DMs, and building the community around the brand.


Here's What Changed
Online bookings became a meaningful portion of total appointments within the first two months, particularly for new clients who discovered the shop through ads or social media. PPC campaigns consistently delivered new client inquiries at a cost-per-acquisition well below the lifetime value of a regular barbershop customer. Social media following more than tripled within the first 90 days of managed posting, with engagement growing consistently as content became regular and on-brand.
